Weird War 1 - A Shattered World

A long journey to back to the start; yet very different

So back in 2005 I released StrikeForce:2136 using the Rev A conflict system.  After its release I learned, learned, and discovered of many of the things about my system that would quite simply be a barrier to many players picking it up and playing it.  Some of these things were the art, the writing, the layout and the fact I did it in 3 books.  However the many comments  and play sessions with new players after the release showed me something was missing.  I had player Rev A so much and not PLAYED enough new RPG's that I missed the change in what players were looking for in an RPG.  This is a short discussion on what I found and how it changed the Conflict system into what it is today.

Prologue -- New Pieces On the Board

Deuce had left the Free City of Paravon, obviously in a hurry (not the first time), just a few moments ahead of the City Guard.  The woman had betrayed him; and done it with style.  Her wedding to the duke was days away now, duce under suspicion of theft and a posible murder.  Deuce had to grin, she had played him like a

Hello Golfers! Great news..

I bring you greetings and excitement at a breakthrough.

First we are almost to 1000 dollars and while 15k is way down that fairway, I am excited to say we have a handicap.  We can make it.  Yesterday i was at a design meeting where other designers played Zombie Golf.  This group was not hard core gamers and the excellent feedback on what they wanted from the game really got me thinking about the mechanics of golf (in the game and the real world) and what I could do to improve the game.

They wanted the golf to be even faster.  Major points were stopping to look at the hole position and choosing bonuses based on that position was adding time to the golf side of the game.  All Jenna wanted to do was get to the zombies, and she wanted the golfing portion to have an impact on the zombie side.  Ralph wanted cleaner holes to speed up figuring out the final number.  All said the rules on the card needed to be cleaner and simplifying the math would benefit the game.

Zombie Golf KickStarter Moves to The 5th

Well there I was on the 5th hole, when a herd of zombies rolls out of the trees and messed up the whole launch.

Honestly there were a few things that just took longer than I had planned on.  Plus a few life things appeared and I was forced to make a decision; a few more days to make sure I have the best Kickstarter I can.

This is for those who want the game as well as for me, I want to deliver the best product I can.

So Zombie Golf is pushed till April 5th..

Thanks so much for your support.
