I see worlds in my head all the time, mists in my mind part and reveal new worlds, new challenges, new stories and Heros. In High School, a long long time ago, I started making games and by extension worlds for those games.  The first was called Air Strike and then another called Mission Code Blue.  These became Strikeforce:2136 which inspired the world of Tal'Vavar (The Last City) and stories for my kids. Which inspired the world of Fallen Humanity.  The Cycle continues as I create worlds for card games, board games, and a role playing games.

Since the beginning I have tried to create a role playing system that reflects my belief that worlds and the characters  inspire players to create more amazing stories at the table.  The problem is that the dice stop the story in many systems.  Other systems let the story grow beyond what the character normally should be able to do.  Its the delicate balance of mechanics (or crunch) and their link to the story, world, and character that I have tried link.  Narrate something about your character and gain mechanical bonuses.  Don't let the roll of a die or dice stop your story.  The final version of the Conflict System does this.  Hit the detailed page for more detail and the base tool set for using it.

 The World of StrikeForce

Adventure in a world of technology that allows any creative use.  A world united in a Conflict to bring human society to a new society, The Phoenix Society.  This is a human society that can survive any threat, internal or external.  The United Nations drives this using the System and its planning groups.  Create characters whos every move is watched by the system as they find their way to defend their passions and become legends.

The World of Salinar

Fantasy Role Play in a World covered in Arcane power.  Seven tribes and their gods work to find their place in one of 3 Brights (ages). magical Giants and Drakes determined to wreck the tribes and their Gods.  Tell stories that link directly to a Characters Legend, rasing the stakes and power. Salinar is a World of adventure and legend.

Legends of the Empire

A Conflict System RPG.  Conflict is based on player empowerment, using the values on the character sheet to expand on the narration at the table.  Characters in Legends of the Empire wil have a new type of past even, the Legend. A Legendary past event means this is a moment that made the characters legend.  While this gives the character and their allies expanded powers it also ramps the difficulty and the story to new heights.  Challenges get harder, rewards increase and the GM will escalate the effect of the session on the Overarching story.  

Legendary means just that: Players will have take bigger risks, and expand the narrative to gain bigger rewards.

Creation of the Universe, The new Gods and The Brothers

The elder gods, 4 in all,  their names either lost to time or never revealed, sparked the creation of all.  In a fit of war and lust combined,  the Elder Gods sparked and  created The two sides of life: Decay and Birth,Chaos and Law, Good vs Evil or whatever the two sides of creation are on your world.  Stars formed, followed by other objects of the sky and lastly worlds formed.   Salinar, the World of light as we call it, was not created then, it came later.  As worlds created life, new gods formed.  Linked to the worlds and the beings that created them.  The new gods were limited;  their power came from the setient beings.   As their power and purpose was limited they posed no threat to the Elders Gods. who while facinated by these new creatures, simply watch in amusement at what they had wrought.

The universe thrived and grew, new gods rose and  linked to their worlds and believers fates.   The Elder gods watched and for whatever reasons gods have they  coupled again; creating 2 new gods,  The Elder Brothers.  Untethered by a world or believers they could roam the universe and experience for the elder gods, they could take actions for the Elder Gods or act on theiur own as they saw the universe needed.

The first Brother was thoughtful, driven to experience life as it grew and advanced into different forms.  The Second Brother was careless, excited by destruction and the powerful such destruction drove new life  to be reborn from the ash.  The Brothers roamed the worlds of the universe interceeding where they wished and as they wanted; to the horror of the new gods.  The New Gods were powerless to intervene when one or both of the brothers journeyed to theire worlds.  The New Gods saw their worlds and treasured faithful boosted beyond theior gods or destroyed, creating  ash for new life to rise; always destroying the new gods in the process.

The New Gods apealed to the Elder Gods to stop the Brother journeys, to let life grow as it would.  The Elder Gods saw some wisdom in this, but also felt the threat that these new gods could rise up and suplant them.  The Elder Gods choose a middle ground, they began to guide the Brothers to worlds they had interest in; life was grown and destroyed at the Elder Gods whims.  New Gods rose and fell, based on the Elder Gods feelings towards their gods many times, the Brothers power unleashed unto the universe and its people small portions at a time.

The World of light, Sailnar

A place created by the power of lost gods from a 1000 worlds, destroyed or advanced by the Brothers,    Salinar and the Seven Gods arose from the Plume, which can be seen from Salinar to this day.   Everytime the Brothers take action in the universe  power is left in the universe, unclaimed by any world or God.  These small spheres of power coalesced into a plume of arcane power; the Plume. A scar on the universe, a reacation to the actions of the Brothers and the Elder Gods interfearence that is the nature of the Plume  It is a flowing of the powers of creation and destruction, spewing out of the Plume back into the universe, in one specific spot.

The nature of gravity in the area of the Plume pulled this flowing power into an area around a red giant, a dying star.   Arcane power saturated the Star and the remants of worlds who had died millions of years ago.  A single world, parent to 3 moons was formed in a matter of weeks, as the star changed its hue to become a purple star, the only one in the universe.  The power continued to flow and a blink of an Elder Gods Eye,  the world became real and 7 gods apeared linked to the planet, not its beings.  This surprised the Elder Gods, alarmed one of them,  and they watched as this world formed differently from all others.  They argued about its fate but when the truth of its creation was revealed they chose not to interfere.
